The goal

…. is to have 1000 names written on the bike. Each name place is available for just 40 euros. More places can also be used for a bigger sized name.

If we can reach the target of 1000 names, then I want to give away the bike at the end of the race as a thank you gift, to one of the people who have their name on it. I’m not going to guarantee the state of the bike at the end, but I’d like to think it will still be in good condition… psychotic. The jackets/pants and helmet will also be given away separately.

Everyone will be on the list here, alongside a number/s. At the finish of Dakar 2006, we take the winners times from each category and add them up. The last number becomes the winning number.

So, the bike would be given to the person with their name next to 015. Jacket and pants to 817, and the helmet to 946.

First though, we need to get 1000 names to make it possible, or it can’t be given away.
